Volunteer Opportunity Description


Be a Kids Stuff Volunteer for the YMCA! Kids Stuff is a drop-off childcare program for members while they work out, with great activities that develop spirit, mind and body for kids.  You will help our staff team with programs, interacting with kids, and helping us to ensure a positive, nurturing environment.  If you love activity, arts and crafts and want to feel like a kid again, this opportunity is for you!


  • Greet children and members, making them feel welcome
  • Play and initiate age-appropriate games and activities with children (that's the fun part!)
  • Help us be sure our play environment is always safe
  • Use your great interpersonal communication skills with our members
  • At the end of your day/shift, help us organize toys and shelves
  • Follow all procedures and policies of the department, branch and Association

Physical Demands

  • You should be able to lead and participate in physical activities that may include but are not limited to walking, standing, bending, reaching, running, throwing and kicking


  • You will be at least 16 years of age
  • Complete a Volunteer Application
  • Face-to-face interview
  • Criminal Background Check
  • Signed Code of Conduct
  • Completion of online New Volunteer Orientation (NVO)
