Volunteer Opportunity Description


The volunteer college program provides opportunities for college students to volunteer at the YMCA to gain experiences providing services to the community. Responsibilities vary based on assignment and needs within YMCA programs.


  • Performs duties and responsibilities to support program activities providing a safe and enjoyable experience to participants and members
  • Participates in training and application of skills necessary to perform assigned duties and responsibilities

Physical Demands

  • Ability to participate in physical activities that may include but are not limited to walking, standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching, running and throwing


  • Minimum age of 18
  • Organized, self-motivated and interested in working with diverse youth
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other volunteers and YMCA team members

  • Reference Check
  • Signed Code of Conduct
  • Completion of online New Volunteer Orientation (NVO)
