NOW OFFERING A SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL FOR EVENING SHIFT

Linden House Assisted Living is a brand new, 82 apartment facility in Charlottesville, VA to include Assisted Living residents as well as Memory Care.

As a Nursing Assistant /Direct Care Staff you will be responsible for: 

  • Providing personalized care to Assisted Living and Memory Care residents and helping to ensure their well-being by assisting with activities of daily living, encouraging social and recreational engagement within coordinated activity programs, facilitating meal participation, and tending to the general tidiness of resident rooms.

Requirements

 
  • 1 year of experience providing direct care services to seniors is preferred but not required.
  • Completion of 40-hour direct care staff training provided by a licensed health care professional or graduation from a personal care aide training program approved by the VA Dept. of Medical Assistance Services or graduation from an educational curriculum approved by the VA DSS for nursing assistant, geriatric assistant, or home health aide. 
  • Also, successful completion of a nursing education program preparing for RN or LPN licensure or current enrollment in a nursing education program preparing for RN or LPN licensure and completion of at least 1 clinical course in the program that includes at least 40 hours of direct client care clinical experience.

  • Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills (in the English language) sufficient to perform the principle duties and responsibilities outlined in this position description.
