Participate in cross-functional team efforts that create a synchronized global transportation and logistics program that serves the business requirements. Key success factors include ability to collaborate and partner with the business, communicate clearly at many different organizational levels and lead by education and influence.

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Manage and monitor Genesco’s Supply Chain loss and damage claims processes timely process of claims by effectively communicating with direct reports, internal divisions, carriers, and vendors.
  • Prepare, outline and manage freight claims process with pools and parcel carriers.
  • Set policies and procedures for corporate international customs export compliance
  • Manage and insure Logistics Compliance for all International Operations related to import / export activities across all Genesco Divisions
  • Develop and Manage Audit Program of International Operations and Customs Compliance
  • Manage Logistics Vendor Compliance Program
  • Have a solution focused mind set for process improvement and cost savings while balancing service to internal customers
  • Conduct annual performance reviews with direct reports
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Director of Corporate Logistics.

Minimum Requirements

 
  • A bachelor degree in business, logistics, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain, Logistics or related field preferred.
  • 3 years’ experience in managing direct reports
  • Familiar with courier systems desired
  • Ability to learn and manage several logistics software programs including WMS, TMS and web-based tracking tools. 
  • Detailed understanding of international trade regulations and customs compliance
  • Knowledge of domestic logistics a plus
  • Ability to deal with all internal associates and external business contacts while conveying a positive, service-oriented attitude.
  • Ability to exercise sound business judgment in a team environment, as well as independently
  • Expert skill level in MS Office applications (Word and Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven leadership skills managing individuals and teams in a high performance environment
  • Performs to a high-level of accuracy and quality
  • Ability to understand priorities and expedite work as necessary
