Job Summary:

The Loss Prevention Security Associate’s primary responsibilities are to apply physical security policies and procedures at the Lebanon Distribution Center by securing all entrances and exits, securing dock doors, and all areas associated with inventory and security of Lebanon Distribution Center employees. Maintain accurate records of all transportation vehicles entering and exiting the property.  The Loss Prevention Security Associate will conduct foot patrols of the interior and exterior perimeters of the building and perform routine inspections of the life safety systems. Assist with LP systems including CCTV, XBR, OPS center, G-Wiz portal and other loss prevention programs to attain best possible asset controls. Communicate well with distribution office staff as well as maintenance to maximize security controls and compliance within the Lebanon Distribution Center. Assist LDC Loss Prevention Security Manager on issues causing shrink. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Assist with Loss Prevention and security services at the LDC.
  • Assist with CCTV functions in Loss Prevention office and reports exceptions and maintenance as needed.
  • Responsible for securing all entrances / exits, dock doors, cages, fire exits and alarm systems at LDC.
  • Communicates LDC security issues to LP Security Supervisor/Manager.
  • Complete Daily Contractor Sign in / out sheet, Vehicle Log sheet, Trailer Log sheet and maintain equipment key log.
  • Responsible for entering all logs and sign in sheets into the computer.
  • Reviews and resolves issues that may arise during shifts and reports information to LP Security Manager.
  • Responsible for answering phone calls and responding to security issues.
  • Assist with XBR issues recording and reporting all issues outside of guidelines.
  • Reports LP issues outside of guidelines to LP Security Supervisor/Manager.
  • Supports all company policies, procedures, and guidelines and reports issues outside of standards.
  • Communicates with LP Security Supervisor/Manager regarding security issues outside of company guidelines verbally and in writing.
  • Communicates with LDC management on LP and security issues outside of company guidelines verbally and via e-mail.
  • Performs bag checks and periodic desk checks.
  • Maintains good record keeping for enforcement of policies and procedures.
  • Works with authorities when needed to achieve return of losses.
  • Ensures that the correct authorities and security alarm company are contacted on false alarms.
  • Perform foot patrols of the entire perimeter including interior/exterior of the property.
  • Assist in Life Safety evacuations and drills as required by LDC and Loss Prevention Management.
  • Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Requirements

 

Knowledge and Skills:  

  • Good computer skills with knowledge in Excel, Word, OPS Center, G-Wiz, and Groupwise programs.
  • Proven ability to perform independently with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal, and phone communication skills.
  • Willing to train in LP and security procedures and processes including prepare for LPQ and Wicklander/Zulawski Interview Techniques.
  • Operate a computer keyboard over 50% of the work time when needed.
  • Ability to operate, navigate, and troubleshoot CCTV.
