Banquet Manager

Job Description


The Banquet Manager primary duties are to coordinate, supervise, train and direct all Banquet department associates and liaison with the Catering and Kitchen departments.They will ensure the success of all banquet and conference events while maintaining high standards of service. Responsibilities include review menu/service with catering managers and chef, maintain up to date details on banquet functions and communicate to supervisor, make personal contact with guests and assist them with any requests, supervise proper tabulation of all banquet checks and responsible for ensuring checks are presented to guests for signature,and requisition liquor, etc. for banquet bars. Responsibilities include prepare schedules, payroll and labour reports, coordinate all banquet related food and beverage requirements with the appropriate departments. Long hours sometimes required. Medium work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects.
