Description

 

Manage the flow of product through the processing areas to the stores in an expedient and cost effective manner.

1. Plan, coordinate, and manage the processing flow, both inbound and outbound, for the D.C. to an acceptable level of cost effectiveness.

2. Coordinate communications with our Day Shift in the Planning of staff to meet 3. the needs of the various processing areas. Support Merchandising needs with regards to special handling.

4. Coordinate the scheduling of staff in each Processing area to meet the anticipated needs of the next day's workload.

5. Maintain the quality of the ticketing and allocations to the stores to insure an accurate on-hand inventory.

6. Develop a staff, expert in their respective assignments and cross-trained to cover other tasks in the D.C.

7. Maintain a high morale among both the Executive staff and the hourly ranks.

8. The management of the physical facility (maintenance, etc), associate safety, and the ability to handle whatever HR issues arise on 2nd shift Night.

Minimum Requirements

 
  • High School/GED diploma, prefer some college and/or certifications.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be a team-builder with proven leadership skills.
  • The ability to problem-solve with calm objectivity.
  • An excellent working knowledge of the D.C. processes and the impact Freight flow has on them.
  • A good working knowledge of the Merchandising systems and how they are impacted by the D.C. systems.
  • The ability to establish good partnerships, both within the company (day & night).
  • Good computer skills.  Knowledge of Excel and Word are critical; Access is a plus.
