Hastings Baristas are responsible for providing excellent customer service by greeting customers, offering assistance, offering advice on purchase decisions, and providing a clean and safe store environment for associates and customers.

Key Responsibilities:

·          Prepare café beverages to Hastings standards for speed, quality, and consistency

·          Comply with standards for merchandising, stocking, and storing product

·          Correctly follow all health, safety, and sanitation guidelines

·          Greet and connect with every customer and help influence purchasing decisions

·          Continually grow knowledge of coffee and customers

·          Maintain the highest standards of conduct and confidentiality

·          Follow proper register/cash handling policies and procedures and conduct a successful cash audit upon the completion of each shift

·          Takes advantage of new training opportunities and tools




·          High School Diploma/GED (or 17 years of age and a senior in high school)

·          Register/Cash handling experience

·          Excellent customer service skills

·          Strong time management and organizational skills

·          Ability to work in a team environment

·          Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 lbs
