Sports Clubs for Kids Youth Sports Instructor

Location: St. Davids, PA (555 East Lancaster Avenue)

 

The Sports Clubs for Kids (SCfK) Youth Sports Instructor contributes to TSI’s success by providing a safe and clean environment for the members. As the “Ambassador to TSI’s Brand Experience,” the SCfK Instructor is required to operate using the three standards of operational excellence: Always Welcoming, Always Helpful and Always Accountable while ensuring the alignment of all TSI initiatives.

 
The SCfK Instructor reports to the Assistant Manager, Programming. 
 
Key Job Responsibilities
 
Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:
  • Model and promote the mission, values and guiding principles of TSI through appropriate appearance, words and actions
  • Engage in opportunities that positively impact the member experience
  • Adhere to all operational excellence standards related to maintaining a safe and fun environment for all participants
  • Conduct classes that are fun, structured and educational in a way that keeps all participants activie and safe at all times during the class
  • Stay informed of program offerings, session dates, pricing, and make-up policy
  • Build rapport with participant’s parents to inform them of their child’s progress, encouraging long-term participation in the program
  • Take attendance regularly at the start of every class
  • Set-up, breakdown and store the equipment necessary to run specific classes
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the program space and upkeep of equipment
  • Be able to locate the first aid kit/AED and staff members in the club who are AED/CPR certified
  • Immediately report any suspicious activities to a manager or call 911 in case of an emergency (be familiar with Code Orange)
  • Proudly support the training of new SCfK members
