Blue Man Group Box Office Agents at Universal Orlando are responsible for:

  • Selling tickets in person, over the phone, and via the internet.
  • Processing and verifying credit card, voucher and cash transactions.
  • Understanding and becoming proficient in Galaxy and Shubert Ticketing (reserved seat ticketing computerized software).
  • Maintaining constant surveillance of cash drawer to ensure accuracy.
  • Sharing knowledge of the theater and suggesting specific seat locations to meet our guests needs.
  • Processing and investigating ticket issues, resolving guest complaints, and assisting with lost, stolen, or damaged tickets.
  • Compiling data and preparing ticketing and sales reports as needed.
  • Performing clerical duties such as filing will call tickets, faxing order information, processing vouchers, and making copies.
  • Monitoring supply inventory and informing management when items need to be replenished.
  • Understanding and actively participating in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established Universal Orlando policies, procedures, training, and Team Member involvement activities. 
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

To perform the role of a Blue Man Group Box Office Agents successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 0 to 1 year ticketing experience preferred; 1-3 years Guest Service, cash handling experience required; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. 
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of guests or employees of organization.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals and ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. 
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. 
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.  
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

The physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an individual to successfully perform the essential functions of the Blue Man Group Box Office Agents job.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly (2/3 or more of time)  required to sit, talk or hear, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; occasionally (up to 1/3 of time) required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, reach with hands and arms.
  • The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include:  Close Vision (clear vision at 20 inches or less), Distance Vision (clear vision at 20 feet or more), Color Vision (ability to identify and distinguish colors), Peripheral Vision (ability to observe an area that can be seen up and down or to the left and right while eyes are fixed on a given point), Depth Perception (three-dimensional vision, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships), Ability to Adjust Focus (ability to adjust the eye to bring an object into sharp focus).
