JOB SUMMARY (Briefly state why this position exists)

 

Provide administrative support to Human Resource Manager and other departments as needed.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES

 

  • Payroll for all non-exempt associates.
  • Coordinate new hires activities, including pre-hire testing and benefits orientation.
  • Assist other departments, as needed, in meeting departmental manpower needs.
  • Process employee termination paperwork and remit to Central Payroll Department.
  • Maintain and update personnel files and remit changes to Central Payroll Department in a timely manner.
  • Distribute benefit communications as received and needed, including the annual open enrollment.
  • Maintain and update all manuals, bulletin boards, and forms, as well as maintaining a current supply on hand.
  • Complete employment verifications
  • Respond to internal and external HR related inquires or request and provide assistance
  • Redirect HR related calls or distribute correspondence to the appropriate person(s)
  • Schedule meetings, interview, HR events, etc. and maintain the team’s agenda
  • Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback, coordinating/planning Company events, etc.
  • Assist with provide compliance in all areas of HR
  • Submit invoices for payment
  • Acts as a resource for employees
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

Requirements

 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

 

A high school diploma/GED is required.  Effective written and oral skill, excellent interpersonal skill and computer literacy is necessary. 

This position requires the ability to attend to details and maintain confidentiality.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

 

Work is primarily sedentary in nature.  You must be able to communicate clearly on the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.  Perform word processing on the PC as needed.

 

MENTAL/VISUAL DEMANDS

 

You must be able to read text that is close and at a distance with or without correction.  In addition you must be able to perform manual task, hear,  sit, reach, lift, bend, and interact with others.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

 

Most of the day is spent in an office environment.

 

EQUIPMENT OPERATED

 

General office equipment including but not limited to a calculator, copier, facsimile machine, PC computer and printer.
