Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Description

 

JOB SUMMARY: This position includes the Quality Assurance of in-store systems and Applications Support.  Duties include: lab testing, problem management and resolution, lab coordination, staff training, and daytime and off hours support for software applications as directed. This position takes work direction from Project Managers and the QA Analyst and Lab Supervisor. 

 

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  •  Maintain a high degree of in-store system technology expertise
  •  Recreate and analyze production issues in the lab as necessary
  •  Perform test cases and document and communicate test results
  •  Define, develop and execute software/hardware test plans
  •  Identify and facilitate quality assurance and technical issue resolution
  •  Document software and hardware installation, usage, and support requirements
  •  Coordinate software and hardware pilot and beta test programs
  •  Participate in upgrades for in-store systems as directed
  •  Analyze software and hardware for business requirement compatibility
  •  Maintain the Store Systems Lab on a daily basis
  •  Train Retail Support and end users on new in-store software and hardware
  •  Mentor end users regarding systems processes and functionality
  •  Must have a high degree of initiative and self motivation
  •  Ability to work with others in an enthusiastic, motivating, win-win manner
  •  Ability to take work direction and assume complete responsibility for results
  •  Ability to work independently and as necessary lead a team of peers  
  •  Ability to dedicate oneself to support the success of the enterprise
  •  Ability to work directly and collaboratively with vendors, Applications Services, Technical Services, Retail Support staff and with company employees at all levels

Requirements

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • 1 - 2 years software quality assurance experience with POS systems  
  • Expert analytical and problem solving skills
  • Associates degree or equivalent in Computer Science with a focus on quality assurance
  • Job record must illustrate reasonable duration's of employment  
  • Retail experience is a plus
