Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Scientist in the greater San Diego area: 

  • Support projects with an approximate 50/50 mix of field and office duties.
  • Perform Phase I Environmental Assessments, hazardous materials and stormwater compliance inspections.
  • Collect soil, water, air, and building material samples for field or laboratory analysis.
  • Gather, analyze, and interpret data. 
  • Write technical reports and proposals.
  • Cross-train to actively develop your career.

Minimum Requirements



What we’re looking for:

  • BS in Biology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Geography or related science field. 
  • 0 - 2 years of experience within a professional setting and environmental field sampling and data collection (internships are applicable).
  • Someone equally adept in the field and in the office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to successfully multi-task.
  • Safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
  • Strong math and analytical skills, essential for data management, interpreting laboratory analytical results, and report preparation.
  • Familiarity with and ability to prepare Phase I/II ESAs, Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), and tank closure reports is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and personal vehicle are required.
  • Physically fit and 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred (light construction experience/hands-on skills a plus).
  • This position requires about 25% overnight travel for long-term and short-term projects throughout Southern California and adjoining states.
