The Talent Sourcing Specialist focuses on sourcing candidates for mission-critical jobs using creative and effective sourcing strategies and techniques. The incumbent is responsible for generating leads, engaging prospects and building relationships with communities and organizations through active participation and outreach efforts. The Talent Sourcing Specialist will collaborate with the talent team and hiring managers to identify, attract and qualify the best talent by building strong pipelines for both current and future needs of the YMCA of the Greater Twin Cities.

Essential Functions:

  • Create creative and effective sourcing strategies to achieve short and long term hiring goals.
  • Collaborate with the Talent Team and hiring managers to identify and drive a “best in class” approach to attract and source the best talent.
  • Represent and promote the YMCA and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the talent process.
  • Focus on building a pipeline of candidates critical to current and future needs including targeted searches to increase the diverse candidate pool.
  • Build relationships and partner with communities and organizations through active and outreach efforts.
  • Utilize your extensive knowledge of online sourcing and professional networking to create new communities that identify and build talent pipelines.
  • Act as the social media expert identifying and using creative and effective sourcing strategies to find talent.
  • Stay current with social media marketing and sourcing approaches including newsletters, tips/blogs, case studies, testimonials, etc. and engage the talent team in knowledge sharing.
  • Track and measure analytical information on candidate conversion rates, number of passive candidates who turn into applicants, get interviewed, get offers and are hired, etc.

Minimum Requirements

 

Qualifications:

Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience performing internet research and talent sourcing activities, including social media sourcing and the development and refinement of Boolean search strings
  • Excellent networking and relationship building skills
  • Successful cold calling and interviewing experience at all levels of a corporation
  • Excellent interpersonal and interviewing skills; ability to effectively coach, counsel, influence and establish rapport with candidates, hiring managers, and external agents.
  • Knowledge of full life-cycle recruiting process
  • Ability to prioritize and systematize own work independently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Focused, results-oriented and works with a sense of urgency
  • Possess a high level of professionalism, ethics and integrity
  • Demonstrated collaboration skills in a highly matrixed environment
  • Strong customer and service delivery orientation
  • Effective problem-solving and creative thinking skills
  • Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel and HRIS systems.

 

Preferred

  • Experience working in a nonprofit
  • Multilingual
  • Certification in AIRS, LinkedIn Search or other sourcing best practice certification

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel across the Twin Cities for meetings, events and job fairs with occasional overnight travel.
