JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for running various weekly/monthly/quarterly jobs and audits in Infor as part of our regular payroll processing.  Specific duties include reconciliation of various bank and other accounts, ongoing auditing of payroll data, providing scheduled and ad-hoc payroll/HRIS reporting, research and implementation of various technologies that positively impact the Payroll department. Acts as the primary backup for Manager and Payroll Specialists as needed.

 RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Act as backup to Manager
  • Provide backup coverage to Payroll Specialists for sick/vacation days and overload
  • Assist with general HRIS troubleshooting
  • Provide cross-training on Benefits
  • Prepare, review and assess general ledger accounts and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and run various Infor Payroll/HR reports and audits weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Provide reporting/analysis to Accounting department
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting as needed for other internal departments
  • Assist with various other Payroll/HRIS programs:
    • ADP
      • Garnishment reconciliation/file transfer/process improvement
      • Tax reconciliation/file transfer/process improvement
      • Unemployment and Employment verification file transfer/process improvement
      • Year-end/W2 process
    • Workday conversion project
  • Assist with other major and minor projects

Requirements

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • 5-7 years accounting experience
  • Working knowledge of payroll processes and procedures
  • PC experience including all Microsoft Office Suite Products
  • Superb Microsoft Excel experience 
  • Experience with enterprise-wide financial systems
  • Experience with report writing software such as Crystal Reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated business writing skills
  • Solid problem solving/analytical skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work discreetly with confidential information

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING REQUIRED:

  • 4 year degree in Accounting or related field
