Description

 

This position is part-time, nonexempt, unclassified and not covered as defined by The Board of Commissioners of the County of Allen Employee Handbook.

Hours vary; must be available nights, weekends and holidays, as needed for events

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Ability to use the current ticketing system to sell tickets to events held at the Allen County War Memorial Coliseum.
  • Answers phone calls and provides information about events.
  • Balances cash drawer at the end of shift.
  • Responsible for providing a high level of customer service with the guests.
  • Works in an office environment and maintains a professional working relationship with fellow staff members.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Working Conditions

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Basic cash handling skills and hands on computer experience
  • Knowledge of office equipment
  • Willing to work flexible hours, days, nights, holidays and weekends as needed for events
  • Good verbal communication and customer service skills

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Ticket Seller works in a standard office environment with the ability to sit, stand, and move around freely involving some lifting up to twenty pounds, bending, typing, attention to detail, monitoring equipment, and noise.
