The Keep Liquor Bar, recently acknowledged as Columbus Monthly’s Best New Restaurants, is currently seeking to add talented stars to our incredible team. The Keep showcases a state of the art beverage program: regional craft beers, unique specialty cocktails, an extensive whiskey collection, and a top-notch wine selection. The kitchen, led by acclaimed Chef Jonathan Olsen, focuses on local ingredients with thoughtful preparation and a modern twist on French technique.
We are looking to fill the following position in our team-oriented atmosphere. Enthusiasm and a willingness to go above and beyond are the most important qualifications.
Position Summary:
We seek a positive, service-oriented, energetic and self-motivated Host(ess) to join our team. This individual will work closely with the hotel’s Food & Beverage team. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up the breakfast area for service, including stocking ice machine, soda BIB's, tablecloths, and decorations as appropriate.
- Stock all self-service areas with proper equipment and food items.
- Maintain proper standards of sanitation and physical appearance of cafeteria at all times.
- Assist with food preparation in banquet kitchen.
- Obtain food supplies from Food Storeroom.
- Obtain food from appropriate Kitchen personnel.
- Obtain par stock of china, glassware, and flatware for food service.
- Maintain standards of food sanitation and food quality.
- Break down the breakfast area returning all unused items to their appropriate places and store food and perishables according to procedures to avoid spoiling and loss.
- Clean chairs and tables, remove soiled linen and replace with clean.
- Complete prep work as required for the next shift.
Minimum Requirements
- Must be able to speak, read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace.
- Ability to stand for hours at a time.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
- Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
- High school or equivalent education required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must be available to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
