LIDS Sports Group Internship Program

The LIDS Sports Group Internship Program offers students an opportunity to gain valuable work experience in a variety of professional disciplines. In order to be considered for any internship position, applicants must be rising college sophomores through graduate school students.


Program Description:
LIDS Sports group offers a college internship program that provides a 10-week full-time summer internship opportunity with preference given for students pursuing degrees in Retail Management, Accounting/Finance, Human Resources, Marketing, Business and Fashion Merchandising. During their internship, students will work at the LIDS Corporate Office in Zionsville, IN under the guidance of mentors while engaging in real career-related activities. Students will have the opportunity to present their business project to the LIDS Leadership team and other key members of the organization that summarizes their experiences and business recommendations at the end of each program.  The program is designed to complement and expand the students’ classroom education and offers an opportunity to gain marketable career experience.


What to Expect as an IT Intern:

Interns will have the opportunity to work within an IT team on a variety of projects to improve applications for Lids. Examples of daily responsibilities include:

  • Working on different parts of the system development life cycle for various projects
  • Analyzing requests for best possible solution
  • Meeting with users to document and clarify requirements
  • Creating technical designs for code changes
  • Developing code that meets the business users’ requirements
  • Testing own code changes, as well as other developers code changes
  • Working with the implementation team to merge code throughout the test and production environments

Basic Qualifications

Seeking an energetic, enthusiastic intern candidate who has training and interest in at least one of these skill areas:  HTML, CSS, javascript, Telerik, VB .NET, T-SQL, C#, XML, web development, system analysis, system design, software design, software development and implementation, and/or software testing.

Minimum Requirements



For consideration to participate in the internship program, an applicant must have a 3.0 GPA and either a full-time student pursuing a baccalaureate or higher degree in a business-related field at an accredited college/university or attending an accredit 2-year college/university. A selected student must begin the internship on:

  • Summer 2019 Start/End Dates:  June 3rd – August 9th, 2019


Internship students will be paid hourly. LIDS Sports Group Internship Program does not provide any housing allocation. Participants are responsible for arranging their own housing and transportation.


Students may apply for an internship on starting October 2019.
