Charge Nurse (LPN/RN)

Job Description


As a Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing oversight to resident care on their shift.  This includes administering prescribed medications / treatments in accordance with physician orders, supervising C.N.A.s on assigned unit, and communicating appropriate information to residents, families, physicians, C.N.A.s and facility management.

1.  Must be a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing or compact state.

2. Demonstrates verbal and written communication skills (in the English language) sufficient to perform the principle duties and responsibilities outlined in this position description. 
3. Capable of performing the minimum physical requirements

Preferred additional education: 2-year college degree     
Preferred Experience:    Long term care.
