Faneuil, Inc. is hiring a proposal writer and content strategist to work closely with our Business Development department to respond/oversee a variety of proposal projects (RFPs). This process includes writing, research and analysis. Additionally, the individual in this role will also support internal (agency), content development, design and marketing projects.

The ideal candidate can demonstrate prior experience with the entire proposal process, ranging from creative conceptualization of ideas, understanding requirements, gathering and unifying different forms and styles of content, copywriting, proofing/editing, and project and client management. We seek a professional who can work directly with internal and external teams to write and present proposal content in a clear, concise and logical manner easily understood by technical and non-technical readers.

  • Writing Expertise: Ability to quickly gather and develop written content for RFPs, proposals, thought leadership bylines, and case studies. Experience writing for B2B and B2G audiences about client-services industry and technology. Professional editing experience to ensure concise messaging, adherence to corporate style guide or client’s style guidelines, and ability to review content for consistent tone.
  • Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously without sacrificing efficiency or quality. Ability to adapt and re-prioritized in a fast-paced environment in order to meet changing client deadlines. Keen attention to detail and organization, including thorough communication with team, designers, and clients on project status, next steps, challenges, and expectations. Understanding of what it means to be in the client-services industry and the ability to work with multiple client-side project leads and keep objectives and deadlines in sight. Works with a high degree of independence with matters that are time sensitive and confidential in nature.


Minimum Requirements



  • 4+ years of technical writing experience
  • Demonstrated experience in writing proposals or grants.
  • Experience facilitating communication with internal and external stakeholders across multi-locations while maintaining a focus on details.
  • Undergraduate or graduate degree in marketing or related field.
  • Outstanding project management skills, deadline driven and hyper responsive.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills (including editing and proofing).
  • Commitment to detail and solid sense of design and layout.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of Qvidian or other proposal automation software is not required but preferred.
