The QM Specialist position is responsible for assisting with implementation of the Quality Management Plan. Including but not limited to: performs ongoing reviews of services and processes to assess compliance with applicable standards, rules, and regulations, applicable program guidelines and compiles results in a report to the Director of Contracts and Quality Management and applicable program and local directors; conducts program surveys, needs assessments, and assists with special projects as needed; Monitors targets, metrics, performance and outcome measures for programs; assists with conducting or coordinating HHSC, and/or external agency surveys; assists with records management as needed.  The position is responsible for assisting with updating, compiling, implementing and training on state, department, and facility policies and procedures, assists with contract monitoring and staff training as needed. Serves as Back-up Rights Officer; and has committee involvement as needed; Must be able to write clear, concise reports, Must have the ability to maintain a positive working relationship with all service providers. This position will work under the general supervision of the QM Coordinator with a moderate degree of latitude for initiative and independent judgement. Some statewide travel, occasionally overnight, and use of a personal vehicle for Center business will be required.

Salary: $16.13/Hr

Position located in Terrell.  8:00 am - 5:00 pm, Mon – Fri  Flex

Minimum Requirements

 

Minimum Qualifications:  Requires a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in counseling, social work, or psychology, or other qualified social, behavioral, or human services field.Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and acceptable driving record, as well as personal automobile liability insurance as required by the state of Texas. 

Preferred Qualifications: One year experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities or mental illness. Proficient skill in the use of data and word processing equipment and software, including MS Word, Excel and Outlook; knowledge of DSHS Guidelines; knowledge of the rules and regulations for Mental Health, Intellectual and Developmental Disability, and Substance Use Disorder services; and knowledge of the ANASAZI/Cerner and CARE database systems.
