Benefits/LOA Coordinator

 

Job duties and responsibilities:

  • Provides benefits and leave of absence administration functions for Raley’s and subsidiary employees covered by Raley’s health plans.
  • Answers employee benefit and leave of absence questions by phone, email and letters, and in person meetings.
  • Provides documentation and forms to employees as requested and performing basic research to answer questions.
  • Supports participation in the Healthy Lifestyles wellness program by developing programs and communications.
  • Processes benefit provider billings.
  • Completes required EDD documents upon receipt. Scans and files benefits related documents.
  • Performs various other duties in support of health and leave of absence to ensure excellent customer service and accurate processing of requests.
  • Processes leave of absence (LOA) for team members including but not limited to receiving LOA requests from managers, entering LOA into payroll system, sending required forms and letters, tracking sick leave usage, working with managers to receive updated medical certifications, walking team members through the LOA process

 

  • Working knowledge of human resources and payroll applications, word processing and spreadsheet applications.  PeopleSoft background is preferred.
  • Ability to interpret and apply information in Summary Plan Descriptions and plan documents.
  • Working knowledge of COBRA, ERISA and FMLA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently and to be flexible in changing work priorities.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing; maintain effective working relationships.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.

Salary range: $32,000 - $40,000 depending on experience
