E-Comm. Shopping Asst. Manager

 

Work with E-comm Manager to effectively plan, organize, lead, coordinate and optimize the materials and human resources in the E-Comm department to provide multiple orders within a given time frame while giving the customer the best product we have to offer.  Responsible for product handling and appropriate storage until delivery, all while maintaining great customer service. The Assistant E-Comm Manager will function as the department manager in his/her absence.

 

Initial Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Must be 18 years of age.
  2. High school diploma or equivalent.
  3. Complete training in the E-Commerce department.
  4. Ability to display initiative and work with limited supervision.
  5. Must possess the ability to handle multiple orders within a given time frame.
  6. Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge with willingness to learn.
  7. Capable of following verbal directions.
  8. Must be able to read and write English adequately.
  9. Ability to speak, understand and follow English instructions.
  10. Must be organized, self-confident, and committed to excellence.
  11. Ability to display initiative and work with limited supervision.

 

Primary (Essential) Job Functions:

  1. Treat customers and associates in a courteous and friendly manner.

  4. Coordinating orders and delivery with shopping manager
  5. Proper “on location” customer service and communication.
  6. Work efficiently and at an acceptable pace.
  7. Handling each picked transaction in an efficient and organized manner, assuring that each item is the finest and freshest the store has to offer.
  8. Ensure all new department associates receive proper review and indoctrination of job descriptions, goals, and objectives.
  9. Ensure fair and consistent treatment in administering discipline to promote high associate morale.
  10. Master the store layout for efficient picking procedures.
  11. Pick, store and label products correctly.
  12. Arrange totes for easy access and proper delivery.
  13. Demonstrate product knowledge.
  14. Works carefully to reduce shrink and damage of merchandise.
  15. Effectively control proper storage limiting shrink and damaged goods.
  16. Retrieves and fills customers orders accurately and on time.
  17. Properly handle and maintain all computer hardware.
  18. Responsible for department associates’ successful completion of the passbook training within the first 60 days of their entering the department.
  19. Notifying the shopping manager of customer comments and complaints, security problems, incorrect prices and errors or problems with UPC codes and products problems (damages or out of stock).
  20. Follow proper hand washing, good sanitation, food storage and handling procedures.
  21. Maintain a neat personal appearance including proper uniform and dress code.
  22. Must be well-groomed.
  23. Ensure all wage and hour policies and regulations are adhered to.
  24. Assist department manager with work schedules and breaks; achieve payroll consistently by scheduling with budget.
  25. Practice the “Cleaner’s Creed” and proper sanitation procedures.
  26. Practice careful product handling and proper temperature storage of every product picked.
  27. Be sure to operate and clean department equipment and tools.
  28. Delegate and use initiative, ingenuity and good judgment to act on opportunities and solve problems.

  3. Promote the company image as a service oriented operation where every associate will greet, assist, render efficient service and thank customers in a prompt, courteous, friendly, and business-like manner.
  4. Ensure the department achieves the standards of performance as outlined in the work and merchandising plan.
  5. Effectively handling and rectifying all customer complaints regarding online orders and deliveries.
  6. Ensure that all customer orders are correctly charged, refunded and/or credited.
  7. Effectively communicating with customers out of stocks, substitutions, pick-up, and delivery schedule changes.
  8. Motivate associates by consistently praising, recognizing and involving. Devote proper time and attention to training.
  9. Guarantee outstanding product quality and timely service through cooperation with store manager; assuring that each item is picked, stored and delivered without compromise of Roche Bros. High standards.
  10. Assure that all picked items are of highest quality and freshness, and that all orders are properly tagged and stored for easy retrieval and shipping.
  11. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures (and thus compliance with all state and federal laws applicable to our industry).
  12. Oversee equipment and tool coordination; cleaning and storage.
  13. Keep delivery vans in clean condition and organized.
  14. Communicate with store manager and other department managers to optimize the pick and delivery system, and to ensure order requests are fulfilled.
  15. Responsible for maintaining all e-commerce equipment, ensuring it is in proper working order and condition, including delivery vehicles, cell phones, and GPS systems.
  16. Present favorable impression in dress, personal hygiene and business attitude.
  17. Notify management of associate theft, customer shoplifting, unauthorized mark downs or property defacement.
  18. Other duties assigned by management.
