The Vice President, Supply Chain Planning will take a leadership role in scheduling and inventory planning across the TBC Organization. The candidate will effectively correlate program needs, operations and finance and is responsible for resolving demand and material conflicts. The Director of Demand Planning, Director of Supply Chain (Inventory management and replenishment) and the Director of Sales and Operational Planning will report directly to this position. 

Minimum Requirements


Primary Responsibilities

· Leads the creation and implementation of the policies and practices of the Supply Chain Planning process.

· Represents all aspects of demand planning, supply chain planning, inventory management, replenishment and supply chain optimization strategy as a member of TBC’s Logistics and Supply Chain leadership team.

· Ensures ongoing organizational support and adoption of the S&OP Process.

· Collaborates with other Supply Chain functions including Product Managers, Sales, Procurement, Finance, Transportation, and Distribution to manage net landed costs, reduce inventories and improve service levels.

· Ownership of the consensus demand plan, supply plan, demand-supply balancing process, inventory management/optimization, replenishment and S&OP processes.

· Responsible for developing key strategic priorities, annual plans, policies, business rules, metrics and goals for the demand planning and inventory management and replenishment teams to improve forecast accuracy, implement/manage and effective S&OP process.

· Supports Logistics and Supply Chain interaction with other functional areas that interface with TBC business units and vendors.

· Collaborates with vendors and escalates Supply Chain Planning and Inventory Management/replenishment related issues/Opportunities to TBC’s Logistics and Supply Chain, Sales and Financial leadership; providing and implementing business focused recommendations and insights.

· Ensures close integration with procurement to reduce net landed costs, maximize cost savings, optimize inventory balances and meet service levels.

· Represents Supply Chain Planning on IT related implementations to promote all planning requirements and resolve business issues and opportunities that need to be addressed by the IT implementation.

· Develops the methods and reporting capability to establish accountability across the Supply Chain and finance organizations.

· Develops and documents roles, responsibilities and accountabilities for all participants of the S&OP process.

· Provides senior leaders with effective information to support decision making that aligns the company’s product, demand, and supply, financial and strategic plans.

· Provides senior, technical and analytical leadership and support to improve the quality and timeliness of S&OP reporting.

· Identifies and implement appropriate tools to support the S&OP process, and ensure plans can easily be translated to executable detail plans.

· Provides leadership support in all process meetings.

· Reviews the S&OP forecast to support the monthly management business reviews.

· Reviews S&OP metrics and key performance indicators, identifying potential risks and opportunities.

· Supports decision-making and the improvement of critical processes including Materials Planning, Inventory Planning, Capacity Planning, Transportation Planning, and Supply Chain Resource Planning.

·Drives resolution to operational issues, while keeping cross-functional partners aware of supply and service issues by providing facts.

· Leads the assigned team by building strong relationships, hiring great people, committing to the growth of individuals on the team and leads by example.



  • At least 10 years management experience leading teams in developing demand plans, supply plans, inventory planning and leading S&OP
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in wholesale distribution.
  • Familiar with advanced network and inventory optimization methods.
  • Ability to seamlessly move between tactical day-to-day planning and execution to working with other TBC Logistics executives in company level strategies.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of P&L and operating performance metrics.
  • Experience in developing and facilitating an S&OP process.
  • Experience with one or more of the following demand planning and optimization tools (JDA, SAP, O9 or Llamasoft) or other advance planning tools.
  • Experienced in designing, implementing and managing compliance to inventory management rules including determining auto replenishment, min-max, safety stock and excess/obsolete/inactive targets.
  • Must be able to establish timelines, financial and operational goals and drive cross-functional teams to deliver against these goals in a fast paced work environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational and both written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills working with Microsoft Suites.
  • Able to manage multiple projects at a time.
  • APICS or equivalent Supply Chain certification preferred.
  • Background in statistical modeling and analysis preferred.


  • 4 year undergraduate (Bachelors) degree required in Business management, Finance, Statistics Logistics or related field.
  • MBA or Master’s degree in Operations research, Supply Chain or Business Administration preferred.
