Responsible for the design, implementation and management of compensation programs. This involves the analysis, development, and recommendation of compensation programs for various positions across the enterprise, including long-term and short-term incentive plans, financial and tax treatment of compensation programs, and related analysis. This hands-on position is responsible, not only for the program design, but the implementation, process improvements, and ongoing administration. This position will effectively manage multiple priorities, and as such, requires strong leadership, management, analytical, and process skills.  

Primary Responsibilities:


  • Design, analyze, develop, deliver, and communicate all components of compensation across the enterprise.
  • Participate in executive and general compensation related projects which involve revision, development, and or re-design of existing compensation programs.  This includes partnering with appropriate intenral and external resources, and ensuring that projects are on-time and on-budget, while achieving desired goals and objectives. Partner with  leaders within the organization to advise and influence on compensation strategies, programs, and issues.
  • Establish standards for and complete market pricing activities.  These activities include the matching of internal positions to external data using standardized surveys for purposes of making recommendations to line management regarding base salary levels, appropriate grade assignment, total compensation opportunity, and/or hiring ranges for a given position.
  • Ensure that the administration of various compensation programs are in compliance with established guidelines, processes and procedures. This may include programs such as incentive compensation, sales compensation, annual merit review cycle, geographic differential, shift differential, etc.
  • Conduct and participate in compensation surveys or special compensation studies for purposes of maintaining the company’s competitive position within the marketplace.
  • Maintain credentials and membership with professional associations to keep abreast of trends within the market regarding compensation issues and legislative or regulatory trends.
  • Partner with other HR functions to ensure effective due diligence of compensation related issues, and manage integration of compensation programs as needed.
  • Monitor and work to increase the perceived value of the compensation program through enhanced offerings and effective communications of the various programs.
  • Oversee specific projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements


Education & Experience:

  • 8-10 years compensation and/or finance experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required with preference in Business, Accounting, Human Resources or Finance
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) a plus
  • Proven strategic and results-driven compensation professional with a track record of developing competitive compensation plans that link pay to business results.
  • Knowledge of current best practices in executive and broad-based compensation programs and practices, including regulatory and legal requirements on a national level.
  • Strong technical and tactical skills combined with strategic vision, sound business acumen and keen financial and analytic ability.
  • Willingness to work hands-on and drive execution and completion of work.
  • Proven ability to influence executive management, establish and maintain collaborative partnerships, and provide leadership across the organization.
