General Summary

Reporting to the Regional Vice President or a regional Branch Manager, the Branch Manager is responsible for the direction, supervision, and management of the assigned Carroll Branch location.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manages all operations within the assigned branch including sales, customer service, profit and loss, human resources, inventory management and facility management.
  • Follows established operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials and keeping warehouse inventory current.
  • Travels through assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders or talk to customers.
  • Compiles list of prospective customers from available sources.
  • Determines delivery schedules and advises customers on methods of increasing sales volume.
  • Maintains all required Associate records and reports.
  • Inspects physical condition of the warehouse, equipment, and company-owned motor vehicles.
  • Ensures that property and equipment are properly maintained and that vehicles are operated in accordance with Federal and State DOT regulations and company policy.
  • Directly manages 5 to 25 Exempt and Non-exempt Associates, including but not limited to Warehouse Associates, Drivers, Business Development Managers, Territory Sales Associates, Counter Sales Associates, Assistant Branch managers, and Operations Clerks.
  • Carries out managerial responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable Federal and State laws.
  • Recruits, hires trains, develops, evaluates and retains branch Associates.  
  • Exercises strong, fair and consistent leadership with all Associates.
  • Builds and maintains a team effort consistent with the goals and direction of the company.
  • Protects company assets, cash, inventory, equipment, systems and documents.

Minimum Requirements



  • 2 to 5 years of prior management experience
  • 2-5 years of prior commercial tire sales experience. .
  • Associates degree is required, Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Prior SAP Warehouse Management experience preferred.
  • Must have intermediate Microsoft Excel and Word experience.

  • Strong sales and expense control ability.
  •  Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends.
  • Intermediate Computer skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports, and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of Associates.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. 
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule forms.
