Primary Responsibilities:

  • Month-end activities including journal entries and account reconciliation/analysis
  • Prepare and creates routine and ad hoc analysis and reporting
  • Prepare and create monthly analysis on key department driven P&L accounts
  • Prepares account reconciliations and journal entries
  • Works with intercompany activity, reconciles accounts, performs clearing functions
  • Prepares and reviews vendor statement reconciliations
  • Prepares and initiates wire payment process and reconciliations
  • Prepares, documents, analyzes, and communicates information regarding rebate programs
  • Ensures compliance to internal controls, company and JSOX policies
  • Assist in quarterly and year-end audits
  • Research and documentation of complex accounting principals
  • Utilize good judgment in the execution of the job
  • Performs job with integrity and transparency
  • Communicates effectively with management and internal customers
  • Analyze variances between invoice cost and purchasing cost to maintain a proper accounting record
  • Seek and develop continuous improvement of existing process and procedures
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information
  • Assist with maintaining a harassment-free work environment
  • Observe TBC Code of Ethical Business Conduct & company safety initiatives
  • Conduct other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

 

Education & Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

Minimum Requirements:      

  • 1+ years related work experience
  • Knowledge US GAAP and familiar with accounting policies
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Excel and Access at an intermediate or advanced level
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills – identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner, gathers and analyzes information skillfully, develops alternative solutions, works well in group problem solving situations
  • Ability to assess own strengths and weaknesses, pursues training and development opportunities, strives to build knowledge and skills, shares expertise with others
  • Proven ability to work across organizational boundaries and hierarchies
  • Self-starter with ability to organize and manage priorities, multitask, and work independently to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates confidence and willingness to take initiative in getting the job done
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement of work processes
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, rebate accounting, general accounting, and accounts payable procedures
  • Proficient in SAP accounting systems helpful
