The Program Manager is the leader of projects and programs for TBC Franchise Group (Midas and Big O). The position has operational and management responsibility in overseeing the work of project teams to ensure adherence to master plans and schedules and contribute to on-time and within budget completion.  This role will develop solutions to process challenges and direct work of incumbents assigned to programs from various departments within the corporation.  The Program Manager reviews project proposals to determine costs, timeline, funding, staffing requirements, and goals and aids in negotiation of contracts and contractual changes as well as coordinating preparations of proposals, plans, specifications and financial conditions of contracts as they relate to projects and programs assigned.  

This role works closely with IT, finance/accounting, real estate, construction, HR and marketing teams regarding projects, tasks and operations to gain consensus on project implementations.    Day-to-day collaboration and communication will be required with all various members of staff – corporate and field- to ensure the organization is able to achieve its objectives. This role will rely on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.  Performs a variety of tasks.  Leads and directs the work of others.  A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.  Coordinates and monitors scheduling, communications, costs and technical performance of projects and programs.  Reports to EVP, Franchise.

  • Ensures assigned projects are completed within budgets and schedules while meeting business unit needs, business objectives and design guidelines.
  • Manages projects and programs across functional groups within the company to achieve defined goals.
  • Identify, communicate and manage project issues and risks, notifying and/or escalating appropriately to the customer or internally.
  • Define and document processes, procedures and protocols to optimize operations in franchise store management.
  • Prepares cost estimates and documentation for project funding as required.
  • Prepare reports for operations leadership to track improvements in process across the organization.
  • Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces.
  • Responsible for interfacing with appropriate levels of management to obtain funding and approvals.
  • Monitors progress, provides financial control and ensures quality of projects and programs.
  • Manages the project teams including:  operations, training, IT, real estate, construction and administrative support to execute on assigned projects and programs.
  • Develop schedules and budgets for assigned projects.
  • Identify research and evaluate alternative solutions to best meet program goals and objectives.
  • Provide internal status reporting across financial and non-financial project metrics.
  • Perform operational system setup and notifications for creation, updates and terminations as new stores and personnel are on boarded, modified or terminated.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

Qualifications Preferred Skills and Education Requirements

  • At least 10 years of experience as a Project and Program Manager managing large scale enterprise and business process improvement projects.
  • Experience in managing projects in a customer-facing environment.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills at all staff and management levels.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and facilitation skills for internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management and time management skills.
  • Desire to learn and work with others
  • Proven ability to develop and meet schedules
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification in business process re-engineering.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • PMP certification required
