Job Description:

The IT Procurement and Deployment Assistant is responsible for the receipt, disposition, provisioning and shipping of IT assets in preparation for their scheduled deployment/installation.  This individual will also assist with maintaining asset lifecycle data and the reconditioning and/or retirement of IT assets in addition.

The IT Procurement and Deployment Assistant must be teachable, grasp new concepts quickly, and demonstrate a pleasant attitude in a dynamic environment that includes changing priorities and deadlines.  The ideal candidate will thrive in a team environment, be open to cross training and cross functional tasks, and possess strong technical skills along with strong integrated business systems knowledge.

Primary Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Hardware/software provisioning for warehouses & retail locations to include PCs, laptops, RF equipment
  • Thoroughly test and validate all provisioning work prior to deployment
  • Work in tandem with Site Development and Client Systems teams to coordinate deployment of hardware with project milestones and installation dates for locations across the country
  • Log all hardware received, maintain accurate inventory and update asset assignments throughout asset lifecycle
  • Manage several stages of provisioning for several groups of IT equipment simultaneously
  • Use checklists to accurately assemble pallets of hardware in preparation for shipping to deployment destination
  • Package hardware for shipping, prepare and communicate packing checklists and work in partnership with shipping partners and mailroom to ensure timely delivery to correct locations
  • Communicate tracking information and shipping expectations to users
  • Redirect packages in response to deployment schedule changes and issue call tags for equipment that must be returned to corporate office
  • Manage workload to include meeting established asset management processes while meeting critical deadlines
  • Perform regular audits and compliance validation of assets, including hardware and software installations
  • Account for and report on IT inventory and conduct forensic investigation of missing or unaccounted assets
  • Uncover savings through process improvement/strategic planning related to asset procurement & deployment
  • Maintain accountability and compliance for all purchases of IT Assets through process adherence
  • Perform physical inventory management activities such as receiving deliveries, unloading shipments, stocking and organizing shelves, cleaning, and packaging assets for shipping
  • Work with a sense of urgency to provide timely and courteous responses to telephone, e-mail, and ticket based support requests and complete thorough documentation of all work in enterprise ticketing system
  • Cross train to backfill other department roles in the event coverage as needed
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and/or other members of TBC’s leadership teams

 

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

 

 

 

Minimum Experience, Skills and Education Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor Degree preferred
  • Current A+, ITIL and/or ITAM certification a plus
  • Minimum of two years of desktop support and one year of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, Docusign and MS Office
  • Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and by written correspondence) with all levels of the organization as well as outside customers
  • Use initiative to learn new skills, enhance personal knowledge and improve communications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; self-directed
  • Exceptional work ethic and professional integrity
  • Knowledge of the tire industry and/or IT processes and systems is a bonus, but not required
