LFS, Inc. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods.  LFS has locations in Bellingham, Seattle and Poulsbo, WA and Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer, Kenai, Sitka, Naknek and Dillingham, AK.

Job Summary:  We are in need of an experienced Inventory Manager to help us develop and implement all policies, procedures, systems and best practices with regard to maintaining accurate inventory for a multi-location business. Candidates with extensive inventory control experience in a warehouse setting are encouraged to apply.

Essential Functions:

Develop and implement inventory control procedures and best practices

Develop and implement a loss prevention program

Schedule locations for cycle count inventory and maintain strict records

Conduct cycle count inventory processes to ensure accuracy

Maintain and evaluate inventory records

Manage returns of defective items and track credits

Train store staff at all locations on inventory control procedures to eliminate loss

Report on inventory activities and variances

Interface with purchasing, sales, warehouse and accounting teams on inventory

Notify the appropriate location manager of shortages or other problems that could impact product availability

Conduct analyses to forecast potential inventory issues

Identify slow moving and obsolete inventory and suggest plan for reducing inventory levels

Reconcile inventory discrepancies and adjustments

This position will require frequent travel to our WA and AK locations

Minimum Qualifications:

Experience:

Education: Four year degree (B.A.); or up to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Training/Skills:

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent; and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written; oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.

 

Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers. Stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.  The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
