 Position Summary:

The Regional Finance Director will serve as a strategic business partner providing direct support to Business Unit(s) that includes, but is not limited to, being the primary finance business partner,, financial planning, forecasting and analysis, capital planning, participates in month-end closing and ownership of financial statements, workflow approvals and invoicing.  The RFD fulfills Business Unit(s) requests and is the strategic partner to the Business Unit President/CEO’s.

 Key Accountabilities:

  • Serves as finance business partner to assigned Business Unit(s). 
  • Coordinates all finance related needs of the region interacting with all finance staff when appropriate. Anticipates and resolves complex issues/needs for business units.
  • Performs complex financial planning and analysis, including forecasting, capital planning, ad hoc P&L’s and regional publishing reporting.
  • Approves invoices, adjustments, journal entries, reconciliations, etc., for specific business units.
  • Mentors and trains staff.
  • Manages financial statements, financial policies and Sarbanes Oxley requirements.
  • Standardizes, streamlines and offers solutions to manual and/or inefficient processes

Minimum Requirements


Required Skills

  • Must have knowledge of basic generally accepted accounting principals
  • Must have knowledge of mathematical calculations
  • Must have advanced knowledge and experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Must have experience setting up new accounting processes
  • Must have the ability to research and resolve technical issues
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to interact with all levels of management, employees and clients
  • Must have strong organizational skills to maintain appropriate files, and reports
  • Must have the flexibility to handle multiple projects and problems simultaneously
  • Must have the ability to make judgments concerning the interpretation of policies and procedures 

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, finance, or related field and five (10) years of experience in financial accounting systems (i.e., general ledger, fixed assets, sales tax reporting) is required.
  • Must have experience in Microsoft Office programs including but not limited to Word and Excel.
  • CPA is preferred.

 Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel by vehicle and air, including overnight stays, to job sites and other locations as needed.
  • Works with minimal supervision.
  • Requires attention to detail.  Requires using discretion and maintains confidentiality concerning information regarding employees, clients, customers, vendors, and other company business.
