POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the direction of the Program Coordinator, the Database Associate serves as the program specialist in data management and represents the YMCA in a manner in accordance with the mission and goals of the YMCA. Database associate will be responsible for setting up and maintaining operational systems for the Hip & Fit and B.E.L.L. Power Scholars Academy Programs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Meet all reporting requirements set forth by the 21st Century Community Learning Centers grant
  2. Communicate with site staff to maintain accurate and up to date program records
  3. Assist in the registration process for both Hip & Fit and B.E.L.L. Power Scholars Academy Programs
  4. Be flexible and able to work independently with minimal supervision

PRINCIPLE ACTIVITIES:

 

Maintaining accurate and up to date records to remain in compliance with grant reporting requirements will be principal goal of the database associate role. 

Minimum Requirements

 
  1. Associate’s degree or equivalent experience
  2. Must possess knowledge of computers, word processing, graphics and multimedia, spreadsheets, and databases
  3. Strong and productive organization and time-management skills
  4. Ability to work well independently and as a team player
  5. Demonstrate accuracy and efficiency, the ability to multi-task and work in
    a fast-paced environment
  6. Maintain a flexible schedule depending upon program needs

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Sufficient strength, agility and mobility to perform essential functions of the position.
